I began by making jewellry and then wanted to make the glass beads that went into the finished product. I went along to the "Flame Off" event in April 2008 and had a go on one of the Hot Head torches. After the first rather wobbly bead I was totally hooked (I'm sure all lampworkers will recognise this feeling!)and a starter pack complete with propane converter was purchased. As soon as I got home and aquired a HUGE cannister of propane I started to create!! I am still learning new techniques as well as trying out my own, and I've yet to develop my own "style" there are so many wonderful things to do with glass. My workshop is a spare room in our house and I'm up there for hours on end.

I have 2 cats Katy and Jenny who only get fed when I've finished whatever I'm working on at that moment!

I am also a keen sailor and I race on a regular basis at my local sailing club.
